Overview

NBC 2016:2016 Part 2 is the Indian Standard (BIS) for national building code of india 2016 - administration. Part 2 lays out the administrative machinery for enforcement of NBC: how applications for building permits are made, what documentation must accompany them, how the local authority reviews and sanctions plans, how inspections are conducted during construction, and how the occupancy certificate is granted on completion. The Part also defines the duties of the Authority (the local municipal body or development authority), penalties for violations, and procedures for deviations, revocations, and appeals. It is the scaffolding on which the technical Parts hang.
