Telangana Schedule of Rates
About Telangana R&B / Irrigation
Telangana's Common SOR coordinates rates across multiple departments through a Chief Engineers' board, producing a consistent rate basis that every state-funded work must use. Hyderabad, Warangal, Nizamabad, and the Kaleshwaram irrigation project all reference this document. The four-part split (Irrigation, R&B, Buildings, Public Health) aligns with departmental scopes.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is the Telangana SOR organised?
Four parts: Part I — Irrigation/I&CAD; Part II — Roads & Bridges; Part III — Buildings (Civil + Plumbing + Electrical combined); Part IV — Public Health (water-supply, sewerage). The board of Chief Engineers ensures rate consistency across parts.
Why is the direct PDF not always available?
The R&B portal (roadbuild.telangana.gov.in) rotates direct PDF URLs frequently. The Irrigation Dept portal hosts a stable copy of the cross-departmental SSR (linked here as ssr50.pdf).
Did Telangana inherit AP's SOR after bifurcation?
Initially yes (2014-2018). Telangana issued its own Common SOR starting around 2019, diverging from AP's structure. The current 2024-25 edition is fully Telangana-specific.
Does HMDA / HMWSSB use this SOR?
HMDA (Hyderabad Metro Development Authority) uses the state SOR as base. HMWSSB (Hyderabad Water Supply & Sewerage Board) uses Part IV (Public Health) directly for water-supply works.
What about Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation rates?
Mega-irrigation projects like Kaleshwaram use Part I (Irrigation) plus project-specific rate analyses for unique items (deep wells, large-diameter pumps). The state SOR provides the base rate framework.
