S.No.CheckpointIS RequirementStatus
A. STRUCTURAL INSPECTION
A1Structure cured and strength achieved (minimum 28 days for RCC; minimum 7 days for plaster)
Acceptance: Concrete cube strength ≥20 N/mm² for bearing surfaces; plaster strength ≥2.5 N/mm² measured
Cl. 401 — Maturity requirement
A2Structural cracks >2mm sealed with epoxy injection or crack filler before waterproofing
Acceptance: Cracks >2mm injected with epoxy resin; cured per product spec; cracks <2mm acceptable
Cl. 401 — Crack treatment
A3Structural deflection settled; building movement (thermal/settlement) stabilized
Acceptance: No active cracks; settlement complete per structural engineer; documented observation period
Cl. 401 — Movement assessment
B. SURFACE CLEANING & PREPARATION
B1Surface cleaned: Removal of dust, loose mortar, algae, fungi, dirt, debris
Acceptance: Wire brush/mechanical cleaning; vacuum removal of dust; no loose material >1mm; visual 100%
Cl. 401 — Cleaning requirement
B2Loose plaster removed; surface exposed to concrete; loose concrete removed by chipping
Acceptance: Delaminated plaster removed; exposed base surface strong; tapping confirms adhesion
Cl. 401 — Surface exposure
B3Surface roughness adequate for adhesion; smooth surfaces scarified or primed
Acceptance: CSP (Concrete Surface Profile) 2-3; adhesion promoter applied to smooth surfaces
Cl. 401 — Surface profile
B4Oil, grease, paint, previous coating removed; surface chemically clean if required
Acceptance: Degreaser wash for oily surfaces; visual inspection shows no sheen; clean towel test
Cl. 401 — Contaminant removal
C. MOISTURE & EFFLORESCENCE CONTROL
C1Surface moisture content <5% measured by hygrometer; surface visually dry
Acceptance: Moisture meter reading <5%; no wet patches; surface dry to touch; wait 48 hrs if wet
Cl. 401 — Moisture control
C2Efflorescence removed by wire brushing; surface checked for re-appearance (24-48 hrs wait)
Acceptance: Brush away white salt deposits; no re-appearance within 48 hours; if returns, apply biocide
Cl. 401 — Salt removal
C3Rising damp assessed and treated if present; damp-proof course in place or repair planned
Acceptance: Damp detected <1m above ground → DPC repair required; surface treated with desiccant if needed
Cl. 401 — Damp assessment
