This standard prescribes the specifications, constructional details, and performance requirements for screed board vibrators used for the compaction and levelling of shallow concrete layers such as road pavements, floor slabs, and roof slabs.

Specifies requirements for screed board vibrators used for compacting concrete slabs and pavements.

Quick Reference Values
minimum operating frequency3000 vibrations per minute
effective compaction depth limit150 mm
Practical Notes
Screed board vibrators are generally effective only for shallow concrete layers (typically up to 150 mm depth). For deeper sections, internal immersion vibrators must be used in conjunction.
Ensure uniform movement of the screed board across the concrete surface to prevent uneven compaction, segregation, and surface irregularities.
The vibrating unit must be securely bolted to the screed board to prevent dampening of the vibration energy.
