⚖ Compliance notes
- Forms the basis for interim and final payments as per FIDIC Sub-clause 14.3 (Application for Interim Payment Certificates) and 14.6 (Issue of Interim Payment Certificates).
- All measurements must be recorded as per the 'Method of Measurement of Building and Civil Engineering Works' detailed in the relevant parts of IS 1200.
- As per CPWD Works Manual, the MB is a primary record and must be maintained meticulously, with no overwriting or erased entries. Corrections must be initialed by all parties.
- Serves as crucial evidence in case of disputes or arbitration proceedings regarding quantities.
