IS 1755:2015 is the Indian Standard (BIS) for selection and storage of bituminous materials. IS 1755 guides selection of the correct VG bitumen grade based on climate and traffic, and proper storage practices. VG-30 for most India, VG-40 for heavy traffic/high temp, VG-10 for cold regions. Storage temperature must be maintained to prevent hardening.
