Total thickness 3-4 mm but aluminium content is only ~15 % by weight. Hence ~1/3 cost of equivalent solid aluminium panel. Risk: PE-core ACP is flammable (Grenfell Tower disaster) — use PVDF/FR-core for high-rise.
Gypsum ceiling — is it better than POP?
Gypsum board (Saint-Gobain, India Gypsum): factory-made, consistent, fast install (2-3 days for 1000 sqft), crack-free. POP (plaster of Paris): traditional, trowel-applied, slower (5-7 days), craft-dependent, prone to shrinkage cracks. Gypsum wins on speed + quality; POP only for decorative cornices / moulding.
