IS 428:2016 is the Indian Standard (BIS) for copper alloy gate, globe and check valves for water supply. IS 428 covers brass/bronze valves (gate, globe, check) for plumbing and water supply in buildings. Sizes typically 15mm to 50mm. These are the standard isolation and control valves in residential and commercial plumbing systems.
