IS 410:2015 is the Indian Standard (BIS) for brass sheets, strips and foils. IS 410 covers brass sheet and strip in various Cu-Zn compositions (63/37 to 90/10) and tempers (annealed to spring hard). 70/30 brass is most common for general engineering; 63/37 (muntz metal) for architectural work.
