Why this matters

After 9 m of continuous ramp, even fit wheelchair users tire and need a flat resting platform. Landings also let users change direction and provide passing zones for two-way traffic.

Typical practice

Building entry ramps with rise up to ~750 mm don't need landings. Longer ramps (e.g., parking-to-lobby) need landings at every 9 m run.
