! ADC12 (Al-Si-Cu alloy) is the most common die casting alloy in India — 80%+ of all die castings.
! Die castings have porosity — not suitable for pressure-tight applications without impregnation.
! Surface finish from die casting is excellent (Ra 1.6-3.2 µm) — often used without machining.
