IS 3444:2020 is the Indian Standard (BIS) for aluminium alloy conductors for overhead power lines. IS 3444 covers AAAC (All Aluminium Alloy Conductor) for overhead power lines. AAAC has better strength-to-weight ratio than ACSR, no steel core corrosion risk, and is preferred for coastal and polluted environments.
