ISO 23387:2020 is the Indian Standard (BIS) for building information modelling (bim) — data templates for construction objects used in the life cycle of built assets — concepts and principles. ISO 23387:2020 defines BIM Product Data Templates (BPDT) — structured property bundles that manufacturers can fill in to publish machine-readable data sheets for their products. Lets specifiers compare products and lets BIM models embed manufacturer data automatically.
Specifies the principles and structure for data templates used to describe construction objects in BIM. A data template bundles the properties needed for a specific use case (e.g. fire door, structural beam).
