Quick Reference Values
Static load test requirement1150 N
Typical hinge hole center distance140 mm to 155 mm
Minimum clearance between seat and closet5 mm
Number of buffers required on seatMinimum 4 (depending on design)
Practical Notes
Always ensure the hinge material is corrosion-resistant (like brass, stainless steel, or high-strength plastic) as toilet environments are highly corrosive.
Verify the hinge spacing dimensions of the seat cover with the specific water closet bowl model, as dimensions can vary between squatting pans and standard EWCs.
Buffers (the rubber/plastic pads under the seat) must be securely fixed to prevent the seat from resting directly on the ceramic bowl, which causes cracking.
